Real life Angry Birds theme park in China

Real-life Angry Birds theme park in China
Angry Birds fans, there’s a new section of the Window of the World theme park in Changsa, China (the capital of the Hunan province in the South East of China.) that you might like. It’s a real life Angry Birds game. The life size recreation of the popular game has you catapulting plush birds at those pesky green pigs. The game isn’t officially sanctioned by Angry Birds maker Rovio, but there is some discussion of them working with the theme park.

More about composer Laura Shigihara
Laura Shigihara has been working as a freelance video game composer and sound designer since 2005. She’s created music and sound effects for over 20 published titles since then, ranging in genre from orchestral themes, to quirky uptempo boss battles, and even including songs featuring her own vocal tracks. Her most recent work was the soundtrack for the game “Plants vs. Zombies.” Laura has been a fan of video game music since the days of the original 8-bit Nintendo; a time when a composer didn’t have access to high-end production materials, and as a result, had to rely solely on their creativity and talents as a composer. Looking up to these composers, one of Laura’s strengths has always been her creativity. Her music has been compared to that of Yoko Shimomura and Yasunori Mitsuda in terms of style.

Plenty of Asian American faces and special effects in this one. We also get a couple of new character introductions: Cyrax and Sektor. Here’s a synopsis for Mortal Kombat Legacy : Episode 9:

Cyrax and Sektor are chosen to be the future of the Lin Kuei by the Grand Master, but Cyrax is less than enthusiastic about giving his life over to a cybernetic transformation that will erase his memories and turn him into the ultimate fighting machine. When he discovers that the cyborg he is fighting seems closely familiar, Sektor must keep Cyrax focused on destroying Hydro, and not himself or their future…

A few months back, channelAPA.com had a chance to chat with director Kevin Tacharoen about the series. Although fans want longer episodes, it’s not within his control to make the episodes longer.
