For all the times we been to Vegas, we didn’t even know tunnels existed there. Here’s Lisa Ling’s report for Nightline about “tunnel people” in Vegas. Apparently, hundreds of homeless people live under the neon lights of Vegas.

The Yale lab tech, Raymond Clark III, accused in the murder of Yale Student Annie Le has been arrested. He’s being held on a $3 million bond. By using science and surveillance information, authorities were able to make the arrest. ABC News reported that the suspect had both defensive wounds and DNA matches.
There was a massive struggle between the 90 lb Le and Clark before she was suffocated. Her body was found this past Sunday, the same day that the 24-year-old Le was supposed to get married. The motive for the murder is still unknown.

San Diego Chargers outside linebacker Shawne Merriman was arrested Sunday and accused of choking and restraining reality TV star Tila Tequila as she tried to leave his home. Tequila signed a citizen’s arrest warrant charging Merriman with battery and false imprisonment claiming she was choked and thrown to the ground when she tried to leave. Through his attorney, Merriman stated that there was absolutely no wrongdoing. Merriman was merely looking after the safety of Tequila, who was drunk.
Tequila was reported to be Merriman’s girlfriend, but Merriman told ESPN’s Colleen Dominguez in a text message that Tequila is only a female acquaintance.

On March 17, 2009, Laura Ling and Euna Lee were arrested by North Korean guards while reporting along the China-North Korea border. Typhoon Morakot slammed into Asia over the weekend wrecking havoc all over the region and triggering tsunami warnings. Some of the most dramatic footage comes from Taiwan, where Typhoon Morakot caused the Jinshuai Hotel to collapse into the Jhihben River. The six-story hotel had its foundation eroded by surging floodwaters. Luckily, several hundred people in the hotel were evacuated and uninjured before the devastation occurred.
What is up with all the devastation in Asia in recent years? Remember the Cyclone and Quake last year? We don’t recalled it ever being this bad.
