Moshe Kai Cavalin – 11 year old college graduate

Moshe Kai Cavalin, 11, graduates with honors from East Los Angeles Community College this week. This Taiwanese-Israeli kid studied astrophysics, does martial arts, and plays the piano. Check out the video and see all martial arts trophies in the background. However, he’s not into playing video games.

Long term, he wants to be in movies and take part in the 2016 Olympics. Moshe is also writing about for kids on how to succeed.

Pride is an integral part of the Lion Dancer life style: pride in one’s traditions, pride in one’s team, and pride in one’s craft. The Beyond the Pride Lion Dance Exhibition hopes to provide an open arena to display the best of our proud art form to the community. Aziz Ansari is the star of NBC’s hit tv show “Parks and Recreation” and writer/executive producer of MTV’s acclaimed “Human Giant”. You can see him as 3J in the 2009 MTV Movie Awards intro. Also, Aziz will be co-starring with Adam Sandler and Seth Rogan in the upcoming July 2009 film release of Judd Apatow’s “Funny People”. Last month, he was on the Jimmy Kimmel Live.

Vigils for Laura Ling and Euna Lee





Today, nationwide vigils for Asian American journalists Laura
Ling and Euna Lee
will be held. The two U.S. journalists, who work for San
Francisco-based Current TV – a media venture founded by former Vice
President Al Gore, were arrested March 17 near the North Korean border
while reporting on refugees living in China. Both women, accused by North
Korea of crossing into the country illegally from China and committing
“hostile acts,” will be tried on criminal charges on June 4th. Lisa Ling has hit the airwaves this week with appearances on the Today Show, Larry King, and Nightline in a plea for their safe return.

The organizers of the vigils hope to help influence a positive outcome for
Laura and Euna. Please show your support and join us in their fight for
freedom!

The Secret Identities crew was out in force at Midtown Comics in NYC this past weekend. Larry Hama, Christine Norrie, Cliff Chiang, Jef Castro, Keith Chow, and Jerry Ma all reppin’ Secret Identities. Hear firsthand how the project came together. Find out their favorite superheroes: Snake Eyes, Iron Fist, Cassandra Cain, Sunfire, and Swift (Shen Li-Min). And their least favorite: Egg Fu and Chop-Chop. (Egg Fu is pretty bad.)
