He covers wide range of topics from his stand-up routine to his fallback if comedy didn’t pan out to which comedian he’d like to have dinner with. Aziz Ansari’s got serious and funny answers for these questions. The most important questions is who win a battle between cowboys and ninjas. BTW – we didn’t count 10 questions.

Lisa Ling Talks About Her Miscarriage

Lisa Ling Talks About Her Miscarriage

This footage was from a couple months ago, but still an interesting discussion. Lisa Ling talks about her miscarriage last year on The View. She courageously shares about her feelings of failure, loneliness, and fear about the complications of early pregnancy. She was seven weeks pregnant and the fetus had no heartbeat at week 9. It took awhile for her to open up, but when she did, she found out how pervasive miscarriages are. Out of her experience came her site Secret Society of Women, a place where women can anonymously divulge their deepest secrets about how they look, what they regret, what they fear, what they aspire to do, or whatever else they’ve been keeping inside. See the website here.

Be sure to check out Lisa Ling’s new show “Our America” on the Oprah Winfrey Network. The program premieres this month.

Wong Fu Productions and Ryan Higa at Sundance

Wong Fu Productions and Ryan Higa at Sundance

Wong Fu Productions and Ryan Higa hit up the Sundance Film Festival for the first time last week. The main reason they took the trip out to Utah was because independent film producing legends Christine Vachon and Ted Hope were interested to speak them about their project “Agents of Secret Stuff” and how digital media is changing the landscape of independent film for their program “Killer Hope”. “Agents of Secret Stuff” has already garnered 8 million views in a few short months. Numbers that any indie filmmaker would kill for. It’s a fascinating discussion about how Hollywood and the indie filmmakers differ and how technology is leveling the playing field. Fans and filmmakers will learn a thing or from this interview.

(Thanks to Min Y. for the tip.)

Music producer CHOPS interview with channelAPA.com

Music producer CHOPS interview with channelAPA.com

channelAPA.com had a chance to talk to music producer CHOPS. We talked to him about his music background and his experience with the Mountain Brothers back in the 90’s (one of the first Asian American hip-hop groups). After two albums and national TV commercials, the Mountain Brothers disbanded. CHOPS continued his career in hip hop behind the scenes by producing music for the likes of Bun B, Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Chamillionaire, E-40, The Game, Ice Cube, Paul Wall, San Quinn, and Keak Da Sneak. Things have changed a lot since he first started in the business. The cost of production has dramatically dropped coupled with the pervasiveness of Internet has given people the opportunity to showcase their work around the world. CHOPS is still getting creative. You can hear some of his work off his latest mixtape “Songs Your Girl Likes.”

He gives shout outs to Far East Movement, dumbfoundead, Roscoe Umali, and Decipher. If you’re up for a collabo, hit CHOPS up on twitter here.
