The 2010 Annual San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival (SFIAAFF), which showcases the best Asian and Asian American films from around the globe takes place March 11-21, 2010 in San Francisco, Berkeley and San Jose. 2010 marks the 30th anniversary of the founding of the Festival’s presenting organization the Center for Asian America Media (CAAM). SFIAAFF is the nation’s largest showcase for new Asian American and Asian films. Here’s some of the highlights:
Opening Night Film: Today’s Special

Closing Night Film: Au Revoir Taipei
There is also a retrospective on director Lino Brocka, a spotlight on director and writer Freida Lee Mock, live events with The Daily Show’s Aasif Mandvi and film producer Karin Chien. Definitely a strong presence of Filipino and Filipino American films this year. For those who grew up in the San Francisco Area, we sure to see Manilatown is in the Heart and A Moment in Time.
