The nation-wide Kollaboration tour makes its final stop in Seattle for what is to be an awesome showcase of talent and entertainment! The event will be hosted by Kollaboration founder and executive director Paul “PK” Kim with a host of local talent competing for $1,000 Grand Prize including:

If you thought Southwest flight attendants were fun, check out these flight attendants from Cebu Pacific. The make airline safety entertaining as they dance. The cabin crew demonstrates seat belt safety and flotation device usage to the music of Just Dance by Lady Gaga. Afterwards, they show the passengers how to correctly use the oxygen masks in case of an emergency to the music of California Gurls by Katy Perry. The stewardesses do a great job on the choreographed piece in such tight quarters. This video is going viral.

These flight attendants are giving the dancing inmates a run for their money.

Music and dance come together for this unique piece “Push the Limits” with musician Tony T Nguyen and Can Nguyen from POREOTICS. Robotic moves meets synthesized sounds. This original collaboration shows how different artistic backgrounds can come together to make something creative. At the end of the video, Tony T Nguyen shares his thoughts on how he put the music together. It might just inspire you to “Push the Limits”.

Dancers Scotty Nguyen and Tracy Shibata come together to show you their moves to Usher’s “There Goes My Baby”. The pair struts their stuff to the emotions of the song in a room where you can’t tell which direction is up. The illusion makes it amazing to watch. Love can take you to new heights.

Not only is the duo on camera, but they also choreographed the piece. Scotty Nguyen also directed and shot the video.

B HERE campaign goes to Rutgers

B HERE campaign goes to Rutgers

Up-and-coming Asian American dance, music and comedy stars join forces with Rutgers students for B HERE, a national campaign to raise awareness of hepatitis B. The B HERE campaign features two campus events:

  • Multi-media art exhibit showcasing perspectives on chronic hepatitis B, a life-threatening liver disease that disproportionately affects Asian Americans
  • Live performances from comedian Paul “PK” Kim of Kollaboration, singer/songwriters Clara C., Joseph Vincent, Jennifer Chung and Paul Dateh, and dance groups Quest Crew and Kaba Modern, who have been featured on MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew

Both events are FREE AND OPEN TO THE PUBLIC – but you must attend the art exhibit to obtain a ticket to the live performances. Here’s details of the events:

Art Exhibit – Monday, September 27
Open from 10 AM – 5 PM
Rutgers Student Center, Multipurpose Room
126 College Avenue (at Morrell Street), located on the Rutgers University College Avenue Campus
Street parking is available on College Avenue, Morrell Street and Senior Street

Live Performances – Tuesday, September 28
Doors open at 6 PM; Performance from 7 – 9 PM
Mason Gross Performing Arts Center, Nicholas Music Center Concert Hall
85 George Street, located on the Rutgers University Douglass College Campus
Parking is available in Lot 74A, on George Street across from the Center

The Rutgers event will be the first of 3 stops for the nationwide tour. B HERE will also be in San Diego and Los Angeles in early November.
