Machine Civilization by World Order

Machine Civilization by World Order

Recently, Japanese pop group World Order released a mesmerizing music video for their song “Machine Civilization”. Led by former MMA fighter Genki Sudo, the crew displays some amazing robotic moves. The video has seriously sick choreography along with some insane tutting from the middle to the end of this piece. Although the song is mostly in Japanese, you don’t need to understand it to appreciate the message they are conveying. They produced this version with all the craziness happening in Japan. Here’s some commentary by Genki Sudo:

Many disasters are ongoing in Japan; earthquakes, Tsunami, and nuclear accidents. These unprecedented things may be able to change however from now. That’s why I expressed through World Order to convey some message to you on my own way. I see these accidents will become a turning point of civilization. I think the time of revolution is coming, where people in the world coexist with this planet against the system of modern society, economy and politics.

Any accident is neutral. Although we are straying around this deep darkness, I believe we can get through anything when each of us can let go of our fear and face things positively.

The world won’t change on its own. We do change one by one. That makes the world change. The darkness just before the dawn is deepest. So, we do rise up together to greet the brilliant morning truly coming for the human beings.

WE ARE ALL ONE

Young Money gang, put you on the team
All my bitches fly, put you on a plane
Hundreds in your face, why you broke boy?
Not from Chi city but I make the Illinois
Let your pride gone walk it out
In the bank and I’m only cashing large amounts
One, one, two, two bitch what it do? three, four, drop it to the floor
five, five, six, six, rubber on the ?
Seven, seven, eight, eight, make that ass shake

[Hook]
Benzo, batman, thick hoe, lap dance

Benzo, batman, big hoe, lap dance

Swagga jack and biting on like you n*ggas
Like conscious rappers, mad cause we winning
Snug long nose call it Scottie Pippen
Ahh, got like 200k large, in the back seat of my car

One, one, two, two bitch what it do? three, four, drop it to the floor

Project P-noise : Mini Documentary

Project P-noise : Mini Documentary

Here’s a couple interesting mini documentaries about Filipino B-boys. The documentaries follow the work of Asian Canadian B-boy Dyzee from the Supernaturalz. His goal was to go back to his country, the Philippines and give back to the b-boys out there. Many of the bboys live in very difficult economic conditions, having next to nothing, except for their love for bboying. Dyzee states, “I heard stories of bboys who are almost beggars by day, and put whatever money they have together in order to go to the little internet hut, just to get a few moments of watching bboying on youtube. This really touched my heart so I decided to go back and give the only thing that I know I can give.”

To accomplish his mission, he created Project P-noise, a charity mission initiative to develop the bboy community in the Philippines by reaching out to the already existing bboys, especially in impoverished areas. The goal is to inspire the bboys of the Philippines to become world-wide contenders, by teaching them multiple free workshops, developing relationships with them and sharing with them the knowledge of how to make a living from this world renown dance. At the end of the workshops, a bboy battle is held for the bboys of the Philippines to put their skills and knowledge to the test, and giving them opportunities that they have only dreamed of.

Bboys in order of appearance:
Hogan – SAS Crew
Killa04 – Cash Crew
Haslah – Style Banditz
Reflex – Soulstice
Juice – Soulstice

“Igniting the passion of the Pinoy bboys to rise within international bboy scene.”

Among B-Boys Trailer

Among B-Boys Trailer

Among B-Boys is a project documenting the widespread and lasting phenomena of the Hip Hop artform of “B-Boying” (and B-Girling) on the Hmong American community. It has been estimated that 80% of Hmong males that grow up in the U.S. are exposed to and at least try breakdancing while growing up. While this statistic is unconfirmed, it does well to demonstrate a well accepted perception of how widespread B-Boying is in their community.

“Among B-Boys” explores a movement of Hmong youth with a starting point in the California Central Valley, going back to the early 1990’s in Fresno, CA. Many of these b-boys/b-girls are on a quest for respect and even fame through their skills. In this search for success in the Breaking world, these youth must also navigate their way and strike a balance between their identities as Hmong and B-Boys. How do they seek to fulfill their own goals while dealing with the expectations of their parents? Complicating the issues are the pasts of their older brothers who were the first B-Boys, and many of whom also became involved in a gang culture that created rifts in the community that are still needing to be healed.

The documentary, directed by Christopher Woon aka Paper Son, features Bboys Villn and Mpact of Underground Flow, Sukie and Velocity/Soul Rivals, Charles of Soul Control, Vang of Among B-Boys, Airsteps, Wizardz and more!
