Abraham Lim : The Glee Project Season 2

The Glee Project is back for Season 2 and the first Asian American contestant, Abraham Lim, has joined the competition. During the eleven week run of the series, “The Glee Project” contenders will be narrowed down through intensive rounds of workshops, singing, dancing and acting-based assignments as the creative forces of “Glee” carefully assess who has what it takes to be one of the next new faces of the award-winning show. Additionally, continuing with the format of season one, “Glee” series regulars will appear on “The Glee Project” as guest mentors, while the contestants compete for the ultimate grand prize – a seven episode arc on “Glee.”

Abraham, a true newbie to the performance world, postponed his admission into law school to pursue his dreams of taking on the entertainment industry by storm. Although he has only been performing for a year, his most rewarding performance was on the streets of San Diego when he played for homeless people. With lots of hard work, determination, and a bit of sass, Abraham was discovered for “The Glee Project” through an online video submission.

Here’s a sneak peek of the YOMYOMF Network‘s new reality show “INTERNET ICON” starring judge RYAN HIGA, one of YouTube’s biggest sensations with over 1 billion video views. Contestants will compete in a series of challenges designed to highlight their creativity and filmmaking skills in an effort to become the next big internet star. The show will be hosted by YouTube star CHESTER SEE and co-judged by actor CHRISTINE LAKIN (“Stevie TV”) plus a rotating list of top YouTube guest judges including KASSEM G, MYSTERY GUITAR MAN, JENNA MARBLES, DAVE DAYS and more. 2012 72 Hour Shootout

With 72 hours to write, shoot, edit and create a film, what story will you tell? The 72 Hour Film Shootout is an annual nationwide competition organized by Asian American Film Lab where filmmaking teams have 72 hours to produce short films up to five minutes in length on a common theme. This year’s competition will take place June 15-18, 2012. Register now here and you may have a chance to see your film on the silver screen at the 35th Annual New York Asian American International Film Festival! Deadline to register is June 12, 2012.

Blue Scholars Cinemetropolis Short Film Contest

The Blue Scholars want you to make a movie with their Cinemetropolis soundtrack. Use the music of Cinemetropolis to create a video/short film under 5 minutes in length. Choose any track you want. Do whatever it inspires you to do. Upload your entry via YouTube and e-mail the link to your entry to cinemetropolis@bluescholars.com. Deadline is MIDNIGHT APRIL 6, 2012.

The top three submissions will be screened at The Capitol Theater in Olympia on April 14 and will be hosted on our web channel. The one that gets the most likes/views by May 1st will receive $1,000US.

The cast of Amazing Race Season 20 features sisters Misa & Maiya Tanaka from San Diego. This season, teams will make first time visits to Paraguay, Azerbaijan and other exotic locations. Along the way, they will travel through five continents, 22 cities and nearly 40,000 miles. Racers will endure one of the most competitive courses ever, as they find themselves skydiving in Argentina, training with the Masai warriors in Tanzania, racing through Africa’s “Garden of Eden,” putting their taste buds to the test with one of Italy’s most popular cuisines and searching for King Ludwig’s quarters in the German castle that served as the inspiration for the castle in “Sleeping Beauty.”
