Secret Asian Man Pumpkin Carving Contest

It’s not too late to enter the Secret Asian Man Pumpkin Carving Contest. You have until midnight of Halloween night to submit your entry. Get a pumpkin and carve any Secret Asian Man art of your choice into it. The only rules are you need to use a pumpkin and execute some sort of Secret Asian Man theme with it. Dumbfoundead Collabo Contest

Dumbfoundead is giving someone under 18 years old a chance to collabo rate with him. The Grind Time battle MC is providing the beats, but it’s up to you to come up with a creative song with a unique concept. Here’s dumbfoundead’s statement:

I’m fortunate to receive messages from fans all over the world and a lot of them seem to be aspiring musicians so I thought I’d have a contest as a way to give back.

The contest is my way of showing love for all those that have supported me. I just want to provide the same type of opportunity that a lot of Los Angeles legends blessed me with when I was a young artist trying to come up.

2009 Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival Trailer Winners

Watch the Top 3 videos from the 2009 Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival Trailer Contest. The panel of judges, which included music video and documentary film director Todd Angkasuwan (music videos for Snoop Dogg, Far East Movement & many more), producer Philip Lam (Santa Mesa & Undoing) and Cliff Song, representing sponsor HBO, selected “Flying Away to the Movies” as the winner. You might need to view the video several times since you’ll see new things every time you watch it. Here’s a synopsis:

A young boy leaves his static television world and follows a flying film reel, taking a journey to find inspiration in movies at Philadelphia’s very own Chinatown Arch where the opening night film of the festival is about to begin.

The festival runs from October 9-11, 2009. The PAAFF lineup has some of the hottest Asian American films on the festival circuit this year.
