Way Home directed by Erick Oh

Way Home directed by Erick Oh

Director Erick Oh created the animated short film “Way Home”. It’s a story featuring a fly, a dung beetle, and a farmer. Through a tragic episode that is also filled with humor and brightness, he gives viewers an opportunity to think about what they are chasing after and what is truly precious in life.

When considering the theme of the film, some would perceive a fate that no one can alter, or a natural cycle of life. Others would simply experience the nothingness at life’s end. Regardless of which notion would weigh heavier on their minds, it would all narrow down to a question about ‘life’ after all.

The Flying Machine with Lang Lang

Produced to commemorate the 200th anniversary of Chopin’s birthday, The Flying Machine takes the eternally fascinating and affecting Études, and crafts a celebration of the role that music and dance play in our lives, especially in our first pre-teen steps into the adult world. The film stars pianist Lang Lang and Heather Graham, (with almost the entire score performed by Lang Lang!) Shot in stereoscopic 3-D, the movie blends live-action and stop-motion together. The Flying Machine is crafted for a multi-platform world with a feature film, about 25 independent short films (one for each of Chopin’s étude), an online game, live show and CD all to be released over the course of this year.
