Jin vs Dizaster and Illmaculate in Battle of LA 3 (BOLA3)

The much hyped Jin battles against Dizaster and Illmaculate goes down today in GrindTime’s Battle of LA 3 (BOLA3). Dizaster even created a racist video to call Jin out a second time. Our prediction is that Dizaster will continue down the racist route for this battle. Since Jin’s handled those type of lines in his career, he’ll be more than prepared for it. The real battle will be against Illmaculate. We think Jin will take both battles. Should we call in a double homicide cuz Jin will kill’em both? BTW – Dumbfoundead will also be in attendance.

Although it all goes down tonite, the battle probably won’t be posted for a couple months.

Update: Jin’s battle against Dizaster and Illmaculate at Battle of LA 3 (BOLA3) isn’t happening today. GrindTime didn’t have their act together. In a turn of events, Jin has decide to start his own battle league where rappers will get paid to battle. Watch Jin’s latest video: (if the video is removed, see it here.)

Update: Here’s a conference call with CEO of GrindTime Lush, Dizaster, the saurus, and scimon. They talk about the GrindTime side of what happened with BOLA 3. This whole situation is becoming like the Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight. We’re still looking forward to this battle if it happens and we’re still routing for Jin.

Another update from the CEO of GrindTime as he clears up questions on the Jin situation. He’s gettin’ badgered about it so much he’s got to speak out. Jin’s clearly got the upperhand in this whole situation.

Update: This is getting out of control between Jin, GrindTime, and Dizaster. Dizaster made another video dissing Jin and his family. Dizaster is still acting like a little kid doing anything he can to get attention from Jin. He hurt his own cred with all the crazy videos he’s putting out. This battle may wind up the same way the Pacquiao vs Mayweather fight ended. Never happening. For the record, we’re still Jin supporters.

Wong Fu Productions 2009 review

Wong Fu Productions had a very busy and eventful year. All the hustlin’ they did in 2009 paid off big time. We actually got a chance to meet Wong Fu a couple times as they promoted ISA SF 2009, even watched Phil battle Jin. With all the meet and greets they do, the guys at Wong Fu clearly understand that it the fans that make them who they are as the go on tours to college campuses for the Spring Tour 2009 and Autumn Tour 2009. They are very gracious to their fans.

In addition to the fans, they also do a lot of collaboration with Asian American artists like David Choi, Sam Geunjin Kang, KevJumba, Happyslip, and Far East Movement. For ISA LA 2009, Wong Fu cranked out several shorts like Back to School with Far East Movement and David Choi and Hitting on Cathy. They created both David Choi’s first official music video “Won’t Even Start” and Sam Geunjin Kang’s first official music video”Red Light“. Somehow they pulled top YouTubers KevJumba, HappySlip, and David Choi to spill the beans on their Vlogging Secrets. In Michael Jackson’s passing, their music video Dance Like Michael Jackson with Far East Movement and Quest Crew got a second wind.

But it’s no one and done with Wong Fu Productions, they constantly promote the artists they work with. They voted for Quest Crew for America’s Best Dance Crew Season 3. They use music from David Choi, Far East Movement, George Shaw and others in their shorts like Up in Da Club and Poser!. When they were profiled on CNN, Wong Fu brought along fellow Asian American artists Far East Movement and David Choi along for the ride. (See Wong Fu Productions on CNN and Business Tips from Wong Fu Productions.

With all their productions, they even find time to squeeze in some entertaining vlogs of their own like giving Tips on a Plane. Even an environmental one, Wong Fu Productions goes green.

Well done in 2009 Wong Fu! We’re looking forward to seeing what you have up your sleeve in 2010 like the KevJumba series.

Japanese Giant Salamander

We just saw this crazy footage of endangered Japanese Giant Salamander (aka Ōsanshōuo or pepperfish), which can grow up to 5 feet in length. These creatures are trying to make a comeback, but face a barrier of dams in Japan, built to control flooding. Now it’s hoped a new system will help these giant amphibians get upstream past the dams to lay their eggs.

FM SATELLITES – Episode 4

On the Party Rock Tour, the Far East Movement makes a pit stop for food in NYC. If you party like a rockstar, you gotta eat like one too. It’s DJ Virman vs an FM 3 finger foot long sandwich. Can DJ Virman eat the entire sandwich 5 minutes? If he does, he’ll get $400.

BTW – If you’re in NYC, you can still get tickets to the rescheduled Party Rock Tour here.
