Video Game High School Season 2 continues with episode 3 for some 8 bit action. Ki Swan’s dad, Ken Swan, visits the VGHS campus, but the intent of his visit is to pull Ki out of school. Ki’s boyfriend Ted Wong tries to put his smarts to good use to impress her dad. Will Ted be able to win over Ki’s father? Meanwhile, the PTA awards Coach Matrix Parent of the Year and Coach Matrix wants Jenny to write the intro speech by the next day. Brian D tries to help Jenny, but can she come up with a speech even with her tumultuous relationship with her mom? While at the breakfast before the award ceremony, the Duchess lays down the strict guidelines for parent of the year. She gets Coach Matrix to commit to benching anyone on the FPS for dating. How will this affect Jenny Matrix and Brian D’s relationship? The Law also learns a little more about himself paying Ki’s new video game “High School Video Game” Video Game High School’s video game.

Rapper XL Middleton released the music video for his single “Keep It Funkin.” He delivers a modern take on the sound of 1990’s g-funk, the sound perfected by producers such as Dr. Dre, Warren G, DJ Quik, and Battlecat. Instead of resorting to outdated “gangsta” lyrical cliches, XL Middleton keeps the focus on the relentless funk of the instrumental, allowing a generous peppering of vocoder (performed by himself) to serve as the only vocals heard on the track. Complementing the music are visuals of thee funky robots. This single release is designed to whet the appetites of modern funksters as XL prepares a full length EP, to be released 2014.
