Ming Tsai is the national spokesperson for the Food Allergy and Anaphylaxis Network (FAAN). His 9 year old son is among the many kids with allergies today. His child was allergic to soy, wheat, dairy, shellfish, peanuts, and eggs. As the father of a child with food allergies and the chef-owner of Blue Ginger, he created a Food Allergy Reference Book – a simple system of checks and balances to keep his customers safe. You can see it here. One of the cool tips “Always garnish dish with nuts if nuts is an ingredient in the dish.” Check out some of his tips for allergen friendly recipes in the video below.
The new season of Simply Ming premieres on October 10. Check your local listings for exact dates and times.
