So You Think You Can Dance Season 7 superstar Alex Wong had his dance career temporarily sidelined by his Achilles injury, but that hasn’t stopped him from pursuing his other dreams. Did you know Alex can sing? American Idol’s Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, and Steven Tyler put him through to Hollywood after he auditioned for them at San Diego Auditions for the American Idol Season 11. Alex Wong hopes he’ll be able to bring something different with his dance skills. Watch to learn about his favorite American Idol moment!

He’s not the only one making a splash in San Diego. Singer/DJ Ashley Robles brought her daughter along for her auditions. The single mom wowed the judges with her powerful voice with her rendition of Dolly Parton/Whitney Houston’s “I Will Always Love You”.
