Investigative reporter Lisa Ling’s long awaited new show “Our America” on Oprah’s cable network (OWN) is scheduled to debut in a few weeks. Here’s more on what you can expect on the show:
From religious movements to sex offenders to drug addiction and online brides, Lisa Ling takes viewers along for an in-depth look at some of the most controversial and thought-provoking issues in the United States today. In each episode, Lisa immerses herself into the lives of the people she meets. In sharing their varied stories, Lisa challenges viewers to understand different perspectives and even question what they themselves have always known to be true in OUR AMERICA.
Expect “Our America” to be a longer format of some of the investigative pieces she’s done such as Tunnel People in Vegas, Los Angeles water cops, and foreclosure alley. The one-hour show explores worlds and aspects of a story that viewers would never in their wildest dreams imagine. The first episode offers a provocative look at faith healers. “Our America with Lisa Ling” premieres Tuesday, February 15, 2011 at 10-11 p.m. ET/PT on OWN.
