The 5-man vocal supernova group Mo5aic released the music video for their single “Speed of Sound”. The track will leave you scratching your head wondering where “the band” is. Having worked with the likes of Jay Leno, Prince and Tony Bennett, this interactive and finely tuned group is sure to get your attention. Music has been the central theme of Roopak’s life and upbringing and he continues a family tradition of musicians and artists that can be traced back to 19th century India. After having studied classical Indian music from a young age, he honed his abilities in Western pop as a teenager and later solidified his vocal training at the Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA.
With appearances at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, the Kennedy Center, and other major world venues, Roopak is a seasoned, consummate performer. His voice and compositions are regularly featured on NBC’s “The Sing-Off”, Fox International, and National Geographic Channels. Most recently, Roopak performed the opening number to ESPN’s “Monday Night Football” alongside country music star Hank Williams Jr. for the 2011-2012 season.
