MC Jin released his latest work the “Brand New Me” EP. The songs were created back in 2011 after his wedding. He chose these particular track to show you where his mind and soul were at that time. Each song has a special meaning to Jin from his faith to being a father and husband. Here’s the tracklisting:
1. Brand New Me
2. Going Places (feat. Christina K)
3. Number 1 (feat. ZG)
4. Apology (feat. Joseph Vincent)
5. State of Mind (feat. Christina K)
6. Feel Good (feat. Toestah & Joseph Vincent)
The title single “Brand New Me” is feel good music about his transformation for his old ways to his new self based on the Bible verse 2 Corinthians 5:17. In “Going Places”, he talks about his journey in career and life (his aspirations and visions for himself.) “Number 1” was written for and dedicated to his wife. You know who’s tops in his life. With the help of Joseph Vincent, “Apology” has a sorrowful Jin realizing his past wrongs, especially toward women. For “State of Mind”, he touches on the topic of being a “Christian rapper”. The upbeat “Feel Good” is the last single on the EP where he celebrates his camaraderie with both Toestah and Joseph Vincent. You can listen to the EP below and download it on or amazon.
