Director Dennis Liu has the ability to make a small budget films look like a big budget production. His latest work “Plurality” is no different. Filled with visual effects and non-stop action, he brings you to the future New York City in 2023, when the Bentham Grid goes online. The grid is a technological marvel the links all your personal data like Social security number, passport, debit and credit accounts to your DNA. It’s the ultimate social network. With a single touch, you’re identified instantly. You’ll purchase things and unlock doors with a touch of your hand. Although your rights to privacy is gone, crime rates drop when law enforcement gets access to the data. So what can possible go wrong?
The director took two years of filmmaking with very little money and his friends to make this short. Feel free to help spread the word on this. Get enough views and you could see this as a full blown feature length film.
