Bollywood diva and former Miss World Priyanka Chopra is trying to cross over to the USA with the help of music artist Will.i.am of the Black Eyed Peas. The two collaborated on the single “In My City” as part of her highly anticipated upcoming debut English pop album, which features artists like Swedish House Mafia and RedOne. While she is widely known in Bollywood cinema, this is a completely new journey for her.

“It has been a long cherished dream which is finally coming true”, said Priyanka Chopra about her music debut. “I am truly excited to have an opportunity to present my musical dimension on a world platform. I am privileged to be a part of the Universal Music – Desi Hits! family and to be working with some of the most illustrious names in the music industry. This is a fascinating new experience for me and I am thoroughly enjoying the journey”, added Priyanka.

If you were watching Thursday Night Football last week, you might have seen the debut of the track. Expected to hear more of Priyanka Chopra as her song “In The City” will be the theme song for Thursday Night Kickoff in the 2012 NFL season on the NFL Network. “It’s been an honor working with the NFL Network to create such a fantastic launch for my debut single,” said Priyanka. “I’m really thrilled to bring my music and a touch of India to America and its football fans.” Look for the song and a music video to be released soon.
