Singer/Songwriter Jesse Barrera gave a sneak peek at his new demo song “Gravity Won’t Save Me”. It gives you a taste of what you can expect from his upcoming album. The song tackles the tough topic of a broken relationship. He contemplates the reason for the breakup. Here’s more from Jesse Barrera on his new song:
Started writing for the new record recently. It’s been a minute since I’ve done a song but I wanted to post this so you guys could have some new JB to jam on for awhile!!! The new record is going to be a fun, upbeat one and I’m starting to love the direction it’s going in. Definitely re-visiting my roots on this new stuff. Hope you like this first demo / song.
We’re looking forward to Jesse’s record later this year. In the meantime, listen to more of his music: Stay With Me, Tangled Up, You’ll Feel Alive, That’s You, and I Never Said That It Was Easy.

Lyrics to Gravity Won’t Save Me by Jesse Barrera
I watched you leave
So comfortably
The stories we had
You could throw em in the sea
I heard that you’ve changed
Every word I believed
I bet you’re doing fine
But everybody still thinks you’re mean
(Why did you do it?)
How could you play the game
And end it all without me
(Why did you do it?)
Your heart is taking off
The gravity won’t save me
Your love is fire
Burnin’ everybody down
The circus is over
No ring to run around
I wish you’d take it back
All the things that you said
I built it up, you broke it down
Just upped and left
(Why did you do it?)
How could you play the game
And end it all without me
(Why did you do it?)
Your heart is taking off
The gravity won’t save me
