During one Asian American’s freshman year at UC Berkeley, he set out to create the most ridiculously automated dorm room in the school ever. Three months and several hundred dollars later, Berkeley Ridiculously Automated Dorm (BRAD) has been completed! With a motion detector, a wireless remote, a mobile app, a tablet, a motorized curtain, and voice control, this guy managed to build something very unique that all college students would clamor for. When all the pieces are assembled, BRAD can now turn lights on, sleep mode, homework mode, romantic mode, and of course, emergency party mode. Party mode has strobe lights, fog machine, and more.
