For the third straight game with the New York Knicks, Jeremy Lin brought his A game to the team. On the road against the Wizards, the Knicks once again were without Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire. However that didn’t stop the Linning or the Linsanity. After an ineffective first quarter shooting, Jeremy Lin turned it around the rest of the game using the pick-and-roll like a surgeon. He kicked the ball out to the perimeter for Steve Novak, while Tyson Chandler picked up points on the inside. In the end, Lin got his first double double with 23 points and a career-high 10 assists. With his third straight 20+ point game, the Knicks also pick up a third win in a row with a 107-93 game against the Washington Wizards.
Admittedly, Lin had a hard time containing John Wall, who scored 29 points. However, this didn’t stop the praises of Lin by his fellow teammates. Coach D’Antoni was also bombarded with questions on Lin’s performance. It’s scary to think what will happen to opponents when the Knicks get back Carmelo Anthony and Amare Stoudemire. Lin’s biggest concerns right now is waiting for a guaranteed contract, which is scheduled to be locked down next Tuesday, and what happens when Baron Davis gets healthy. With the extended time he getting, Lin has shown his quick first step and the vision on the floor ro distribute the ball. Hopefully that and his every growing fan base will keep him in the starting position with the Knicks with a guaranteed contract.
