The short film “Take a Mulligan,” which is based on David Ives’ One-Act play “Sure Thing”, was recently put online. Two strangers meet. They make conversation that weaves and turns into different directions based on different factors…the right mood, their cultures, their pasts, their intellectual and emotional intelligence, present circumstances…and when the conversation goes awry, DING! They take a mulligan. A mulligan is golf parlance for a “do-over.” Another whack at the ball,a let’s-pretend-that-humiliating-thing-never-happened. Another chance. We all could use a mulligan, from time to time, right?
The short stars Caroline Pho, Patrick Quinlan, and Neilan Tyree.
