Earlier this week, the New York Knicks assigned guard Jeremy Lin to the Erie BayHawks, the Knicks’ NBA D-League affiliate. He returns to the NBA D-League following two assignments last season. in his BayHawks debut, Jeremy Lin was the story of the night, picking up a triple-double with 28 points, 12 assists and 11 rebounds against the Maine Red Claws. He played almost 45 minutes on the court with an extremely quick first step. Watch as he leaves opponent after opponent in the dust. Lin definitely made the best of his time on the court. Although he does well in the D-League, he doesn’t get minutes in the NBA. Hopefully that will change in the future.
As a Warrior, Lin was assigned to the NBA D-League’s Reno Bighorns, where he appeared in 20 games and averaged 18.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 4.3 assists in 31.7 minutes. Lin has appeared in five games for the Knicks this season, scoring five points, dishing out two assists and grabbing two rebounds in 15 minutes. During the 2010-11 season, he averaged 2.6 points, 1.4 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 29 games with the Golden State Warriors.
