Last year, director John P. Raposas created the short film Mother for the Interpretations Film initiative. Since then, he’s expanded the three minute short to an 8 minute short. The video follows a young wife as she struggles to keep her family together by winning the acceptance of her deaf adoptive child. The extended version of the film has made its rounds on the Asian American film festival circuit, but you can now see it online. It’s a touching piece from the up and coming director.
