On October 29, 2011, celebrate both the twentieth anniversary of the Asian American Writers’ Workshop and our landmark literary festival at Page Turner: Asian American Literary Festival. It’s the only event of its kind that commerates the stories and ideas of the Asian American literary community. They invite readers and writers of all backgrounds to come hear the brightest voices of American writing, politics and comedy: Junot Diaz, Amitav Ghosh, Teju Cole, Aasif Mandvi, Siddhartha Deb, Hari Kunzru, and Jessica Hagedorn, who we are honoring with a lifetime achievement award. They’re like the TED of Asian American literature, but with more booze and better battle rhymes!
