If you missed it last night, singer Dia Frampton sang two songs for the finale of The Voice. Not only did she sing her original song “Inventing Shadows,” but she also sang a duet of “I Won’t Back Down” with Blake Shelton. She is among the four finalists including Beverly McClellan, Javier Colon and Vicci Martinez striving to be crowned the first champion of The Voice. They put it all on the line as they gave their ultimate performances. We’re placing our bets on Dia Frampton to take it all. (see her renditions of Bubbly and Heartless).

Lyrics to Inventing Shadows by Dia Frampton
It’s not surprising it could end like this
Your eyes are open even when you kiss
You’re so distant
So cold, So resistant
You see the world in only grey and black
How could anybody live like that
Without screaming
Without dying for dreaming
And you stare out the window at the passing cars
And you look at the sky, think you run like the stars
No you’re never quite happy right where you are
Keep on
Inventing shadows
Where there are none
No, There are none
Yeah, You keep on
Inventing shadows
Where there are none
You don’t even see the sun
Can’t you see the sun
And like a shark you never want to leave
The way you live is like you’re half asleep
It’s just dreaming
If I go who could blame me
And you stare out the window at the passing cars
And you look at the sky, think you run like the stars
No you’re never quite happy right where you are
Right where you
With all that you are
Keep on
Inventing shadows
Where there are none
Where there are none
Yeah, You keep on
Inventing shadows
Where there are none
You’re so young, so beautiful
So flawless in my eyes
And don’t you know the world smiles
Every time you smile
Why can’t you just smile
Keep on
Inventing shadows
Where there are none
Where there are none
Yeah, You keep on
Inventing shadows
Where there are none
You don’t even see the sun
Can’t you see the sun
It’s in the lights in the world I see
How I wish I could still believe
Time could save
If I go who could blame me
