Director Kevin Tacharoen reveals more characters in Mortal Kombat Legacy Episode 7. Scorpion and Sub-Zero get the new Mortal Kombat treatment in the Japanese language episode. Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion is played by Ian Anthony Dale, while Sub-zero is played by Kevan Ohtsji. Here’s a synopsis for Mortal Kombat Legacy : Episode 7:
Hanzo Hasashi, better known as the warrior Scorpion, is summoned to meet with the Shogun of Kumamoto Castle. While traveling, the fearless General of the Shirai Ryu clan encounters his mortal enemy, Sub-Zero. Scorpion realizes too late that this trap has led him away from his village and family, leaving them without means to defend themselves. He knows that he must defeat Sub-Zero and return to his village before it is too late.
Great to see director Kevin Tacharoen trying a English subtitled/Japanese language episode. It sets the tone for the series differently than if it were all English. He also makes it a family affair by bringing in his sister Maurussa Tacharoen to play Kana. This is a two part intro, so expect more Scorpion and Sub-Zero next week.
