Pittsburgh Steelers’ wide receiver Hines Ward won Dancing with the Stars Season 12 earlier this week. With his dancing partner Kym Johnson, Ward won the disco balled trophy. He adds another championship under his belt, this time on the dance floor. Amazingly, Johnson powered through a neck injury, which she got while practicing a few weeks earlier. The pair dance their way to a win with their energetic samba to Fantasy that scored the perfect 30. The song was dedicated to Ward’s mom, who watched in the audience. Ward’s win now puts him alongside former Dallas Cowboy star Emmitt Smith as the second NFL player to win the competition. The former Superbowl MVP compared the 10 weeks of the show to the intensity of NFL training camp, and said he was ready to get back on the field because the dancing kept him in such great shape.
