Trin Monsta hit us up with his first music video he released last year for the song “My Pad” off his debut mixtape “Trademark”. He’s got some quick flows on the track. In the video, he shows a peek into his life as he’s pursuing his dream of a music career. It’s not all glamorous when you’re chasing you passion. More about Trin Monsta Trin Monsta (Jason Chun Lee) is a Taiwanese/Japanese rap artist residing from West Hollywood, CA. At a very young age, Trin Monsta began doing shows with group “Slanted Visions,” and released an independent album called “Mood Swings.” soon after the independent success of the album, the group disbanded and Trin continued on as a solo artist. At the young age of 17, Trin was co-signed by Far-East Movement to a deal with record label CATCH MUSIC GROUP, home to popular artists Far-East Movement (FM), Jin tha MC, and Monroe Street Band. While on the label CMG, Trin worked, recorded, and performed with Far-East Movement (FM) and made an appearance on FM’s track “It’s Time,” which appeared on FM’s first release the “Audiobio.” Trin also opened shows for Chinese-American artist Jin tha MC while signed to the label. Trin has done a special performance for Asian-American talent showcase KOLLABORATION, headlining with rap-artist CHAN. However, after five years of having trouble releasing his album, Trin parted ways with Catch Music Group. Trin has just recently released his first CD, the “TRADEMARK mixtape,” during the Summer of 2010. He has also just released his first music video for the mixtape single “My Pad.” He is currently in the studio recording his EP scheduled to be released April 2011.
