Anisha Nagarajan stars in NBC’s new comedy series “Outsourced” as Madhuri, a wallflower who suffers from extreme shyness at the Mid America Novelties call center. She can barely speak up to introduce herself to the team, but eventually finds her voice through her work. Nagarajan’s television and film credits include “Ugly Betty,” “Hope and a Little Sugar,” and “The Trident.”

Anisha Nagarajan originated the lead role of Priya in the Broadway production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and A.R. Rahman’s “Bombay Dreams.” Other Broadway and off-Broadway credits include the Grammy-nominated “Hair” for the Actor’s Fund Benefit at the New Amsterdam Theatre and “Snapshots” at the 45th Street Theatre. Her regional theater credits include “Princesses” at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle, “The Wiz” at the La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego, and “RENT” at the Hangar Theatre in Ithaca.
She performed for the President of the United States and Queen Elizabeth at the Winfield House in Regents Park, London; at Carnegie Hall; and alongside Grammy and Oscar winner A.R. Rahman at the Hollywood Bowl.
