We got such a great response with Never Gonna Be My Friend by Matt Brevner x Fembot that we decided to post another video from earlier this year. “Culture Shock” is Matt Brevner’s first off his debut album “Magnum Opus”. The music video offers a quick, catatonic and yet vivid embodiment of the sights, individuals and culture of Japans metropolis through Brevner’s evocative lyrics and edgy electro hip-hop beat. He continues to prove his progressive and fearless nature as an artist. With his inventive experimentation of smooth vocals and raw sounds laced on top of the picturesque image of Japan, Culture Shock thrives in creating a harmonious fusion of Vancouver’s hip-hop scene and the unique, beautiful world of Japan.
