Margaret Cho released a music video based on the song “Eat Sh*t and Die” from her upcoming comedy album Cho Dependent. The track is a big F U to the people that have broken your heart in the past. In her words, “The song is like a spell, cast over the heartbreak – banishing it forever. It worked for me so well, and continues to work, and it will work for you too. I promise.” The video takes place in old time cabaret ambiance with dancing pieces of turd and some guy play a piece of crap guitar. Songwriter Grant Lee Phillips also helped to co-write the track. Read more about how Margaret Cho came up with this F U track with him here. BTW – Fans who came out to the show at El Cid during the taping of one of Margaret’s show might see themselves in the video.
We’ve been listening to an advanced copy of the album. We’re impressed with Margaret Cho’s ability to sing a variety of types of music from folk songs to rap and keeping the humor in all the tracks. Pre-order the album now here. Watch the music video for the song “I’m Sorry by Margaret Cho x Andrew Bird“.
