District 69 is a hilarious spoof of the movie District 9. The film was co-directed, written, and edited by comedian Ewan Chung. He also plays the lead charter Dikus Van der Merwe. The short picked up wins at the 2010 Toscars (Brits in LA) for Best Picture, Best Whactor (Ewan Chung), and Best Supporting Whactress (Ceri Bethan). Not bad for a film with a budget of $150. Do NOT watch the short if you haven’t seen District 9 and still want to see the original film.
