John Woo was on Charlie Rose promoting Red Cliff, a film he’s wanted to make for over 20 years. In his first period movie and epic film, he creates a love story with the action he’s known for. He also talks about the state of cinema in China and why he returned to China to make films. Also interestingly, he wants to do a musical. He almost did Chicago.
Check out Red Cliff in theaters or VOD.
