October is a busy month for Asian American film festivals coast to coast. We’ve already showed you the 2009 San Diego Asian Film Festival lineup (October 15-29, 2009) along with the 2009
Philadelphia Asian American Film Festival (October 9-11, 2009). Now DC APA Film Festival is announcing its line up. Here’s the highlights:

Opening night film – 9500 Liberty

Closing night film – Children of Invention

Other notable films in the lineup include White on Rice, Formosa Betrayed, Operation Babylift, Whatever It Takes, All About Dad, and You Don’t Know Jack: The Jack Soo Story.

There’s also an interesting workshop: “Don’t Quit Your Day Job”: A DIY Filmmaking Workshop with director J.P. Chan and DC APA Film. (Check out J.P. Chan’s short Dry Clean Only featuring Aaron Yoo.) Seating is limited. Get more information here.
