The Colorado Avalanche have signed forward Brandon Yip to an entry-level contract. Although he was in the 2004 NHL draft, Yip, 24, spent the past four years at Boston University, where he totaled 108 points in 139 career games. At Boston, he helped the Terriers capture their fifth national championship in the 2008-09 season. The Vancouver native was Colorado’s seventh selection (eighth round, 239th overall) in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. Hope he’ll eventually get some ice time.
Keep your eye on #18 Brandon Yip. (We don’t really care for the Kung Fu fighting music, but it’s the best video we’ve seen that shows Brandon Yip’s skills.)
