The 2009 OCA National Convention is taking place at San Francisco’s Westin St. Francis Hotel from August 6 – 9, 2009. OCA is a national organization dedicated to advancing the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian Pacific Americans in the United States. This year’s theme is “A Call to Action: Empowering Asian Pacific American Voices.” Also being honored at the event include Congressman Mike Honda, the late historian Him Mark Lai, activist Phil Choy, designer Anna Sui, and YouTube co-founder Steve Chen.
