UPDATE: The winners of the 2nd annual DIY Music Video Contest have been announced.

The San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival and Locus@Kearny Street Workshop have teamed up for the 2nd annual DIY Music Video Contest. Asian American musicians were teamed up with Asian American filmmakers to make music videos. All of the videos were made in the span of two months by teams of community filmmakers, musicians and volunteers with little or no budget. That’s grassroots collaboration!!

You can participate too. watch and rate the videos below to decide who will win a spot in the 2009 San Francisco International Asian American Film Festival’s Music Video Asia which will be March, 14 2009. Voting ends March 6. The highest rated video will win the DIY People’s Choice Award and a jury panel will determine the Jury Prize Winner. Both awards will be announced on March 9, 2009. (The ratings are pretty close right now.)
