Having received winning rave reviews from such outlets as the New York Times, Nylon, Under the Radar, YRB, XLR8R, and many more, NYC’s Asobi Seksu make their stunning Polyvinyl debut with their much anticipated third album Hush.
Known for their captivating live shows Hush captures that energy and transforms it into something new – something different. Shimmering, dew-draped riffs and spiral staircase melodies are blurred by bits of guitar violence and sputtering drums bolstered by the ethereal vocals of vocalist Yuki Chikudate.

Me & Mary from the Hush album by Asobi Seksu
The video was conceived of and designed by Brooklyn-based illustrator Dan-ah Kim, and executed with the help of director Aaron Stewart-Ahn. For the first time Kim is directing a work of her own, collaborating with Stewart-Ahn for his technical knowledge. The pair met while working as crew on a Michel Gondry project. For Dan-ah the video was a chance to experiment with animation, which was done in camera without the aid of computers or greenscreens.
