Tim Lincecum, who is part Filipino, was named cover athlete for Major League Baseball 2K9 thw day he also won the Cy Young Award. Tim went to 2K Sports’ motion-capture facility to captured the “signature style” of both Tim Lincecum’s pitching and hitting. According to motion capture coordinator Steve Park for 2K Sports, Lincecum was the first pitcher 2K Sports has featured. Look for the game to get released March 2, 2009.

Tim is also an avid gamers and currently plays Gears of War 2.
