For the past 26 years, Macy’s Passport has featured the best of designer and trend fall collections for men, women and children in an exciting runway show of stunning models, celebrity guests and internationally acclaimed designers. It has been one of the premier fundraisers for HIV/AIDS programs in America, raising over $27 million for research, care and prevention agencies. This year’s event theme was Fashion and Compassion.
NBC aired a shortened version of the event yesterday entitled “Celebrity Catwalk Challenge”. The Jabbawockeez did not model for the event, but the did what they did best – dance.
If you missed the event or the TV broadcast, you’ve got one more crack at it on October 23, 20008 at a local theater. For the first time this year the magic of Macy’s Passport will be brought to the silver screen. Macy’s Passport will be transformed into a high definition cinematic event to be shown across the country, featuring special celebrity and musical entertainment and showcasing all the excitement of the live Passport events. Macy’s Passport : Fashion Cinema expands Macy’s commitment to the fight against HIV/AIDS. In each city, Macy’s will host a screening party with all proceeds benefiting a local HIV/AIDS organization.
