Tiger Woods and wife Swedish model Elin Nordegren are preggers with their second child. Their first child, Sam, was born the Monday after the 2007 U.S. Open. After Woods married in 2004, he said that he wanted more than one child. Woods was an only child, while Elin has a twin sister. Here’s what Tiger Woods posted on his site:

Elin and I are proud to announce that we are expecting our second child in late-winter.

Elin is feeling great, and we are both thrilled. While my injury has been disappointing and frustrating, it has allowed me to spend a lot of time watching Sam grow. I can’t begin to tell you how rewarding it is being a dad and spending time with her and Elin. The injury has been a blessing and a disappointment.

Just to give you a quick update, I was recently in Dubai to check on the construction of my golf course, Al Ruwaya, then New York for the launch of Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 09. I’m enjoying golf course design a lot, and both The Tiger Woods Dubai and The Cliffs at High Carolina are progressing very well. The launch for the game was a big success and one of the highlights was an appearance on Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Conan is really funny and we played the game on the show. I was also able to spend some time with Olympic gold medal winners Michael Phelps, Misty May-Treanor, Kerri Walsh and Bryan Clay.

I hope everyone had a great holiday, and I’m already starting to wonder if Sam’s sibling will be a boy or a girl.
